AMPLIFY · The full JBL engagement

Remove friction across your whole management layer, not one team at a time.

AMPLIFY finds what stops capable managers deciding, across a division or the entire business, and removes it at the source. Decisions settle at the right level, escalations stop travelling upwards, and your senior team gets its week back.

The problem at scale

Friction doesn't stay in one team. It compounds through every layer.

One manager escalating a decision costs an hour. Sixty managers doing it, every week, across functions that each wait on the other, sets the pace of the whole business. It shows up as strategy that stalls in execution, senior leaders pulled into operational detail, and good people who stop deciding because the system keeps deciding for them.

None of that is a skills gap, which is why more training hasn't moved it. It's friction: unclear authority, approvals nobody needs, and gaps between teams. AMPLIFY removes it across the business rather than one cohort at a time.

What friction costs a 60-manager layer each year

Managers in scope
60
Hours lost to friction, per manager per week
4
Fully loaded cost per manager hour
USD 75
Working weeks per year
48
Annual cost of frictionUSD 864,000

Illustrative. Swap in your own headcount and loaded cost. Four hours is the average reclaimed per manager across JBL engagements. It leaves out the larger costs: slower decisions and senior time lost to operational detail. AMPLIFY is scoped against this number, never against a per-head course price.

Where AMPLIFY fits

The Reset proves it on one cohort. AMPLIFY makes it how the business runs.

Most businesses start with The Six Week Reset, a fixed price pilot with one cohort of 6 to 12 managers, to see the effect on their own numbers. AMPLIFY is the next step: the same method, applied across a division or the whole management layer, with a full diagnostic, an executive sponsor and Aiden in every leader's pocket.

If friction is already obvious across functions, AMPLIFY can be scoped directly. The side-by-side comparison sets out the differences in full.

How AMPLIFY runs

Diagnose. See it. Solve it. Scale it.

AMPLIFY is built on Simplify to Amplify®, the method behind every JBL engagement. It's built into the day job, not added to it: managers work on the decisions, meetings and handoffs already on their desks.

  1. DIAGNOSE

    Before the start

    Map the friction

An organisational diagnostic shows where decisions stall, which travel upwards and why. Your executive sponsor agrees the baseline measures.

  2. SEE

    2-day Catalyst

    Install a shared language

In person, managers learn a small set of tools, each explained in minutes and used with their teams the next working day.

  3. SOLVE

    90 days

    Remove it on live work

Virtual sessions on the decisions, approvals and handoffs already on their desks. Decision rights are agreed in writing and the work is handed back for good.

  4. SCALE

    Embed

    Make it stick

Line managers confirm the change, the measures are rerun, and the sponsor gets a board-ready report on what moved and what to scale next.

Measured on outcomes

“The methodology scaled across the organisation in a way that training programmes never had. It became how we develop leaders.”

What's included

  • An organisational friction diagnostic before the start
  • Executive sponsor alignment and reporting throughout
  • A 2-day in-person Catalyst, led by Jimmy Burroughes
  • 90 days of implementation on live work
  • Aiden AI leadership coaching for every leader, included in the fee
  • Before and after measures, confirmed by line managers
  • A board-ready report with a clear recommendation

AMPLIFY is built for you if

  • Friction runs across functions, not just one team
  • Strategic decisions stall between the plan and the front line
  • Your senior team spends its week on decisions managers should own
  • You want the change measured on your numbers, not on satisfaction scores
  • A senior sponsor will act on what the diagnostic finds

It isn't the right step if

  • The issue is one person, which is a coaching matter
  • You need technical or functional skills taught
  • Roles are still being decided in a restructure
  • You want to test the method first, in which case start with the Reset

If the scoping call shows AMPLIFY won't fix your problem, Jimmy will say so and point you to a better first step.

A written proposal. Scope, sponsor, measures and fee, agreed before anything starts.

  3. 3

The diagnostic. Baselines taken and the friction mapped across the layer.

  4. 4

Catalyst, then 90 days. Led by Jimmy, on live work, confirmed by line managers.

Questions leaders ask

AMPLIFY, answered

What is AMPLIFY?

AMPLIFY is the full engagement from JBL High Performance. It removes the friction that stops capable managers deciding, across a division or a whole management layer, using the Simplify to Amplify method: a friction diagnostic, a 2-day Catalyst, 90 days of implementation on live work and an embedding phase confirmed by line managers.

How is AMPLIFY different from the Six Week Reset?

The Six Week Reset is a fixed price pilot with one cohort of 6 to 12 managers over six virtual hours. AMPLIFY applies the same method across the wider business, with a full organisational diagnostic, an in-person Catalyst, executive sponsor reporting and Aiden AI coaching included for every leader.

How much does AMPLIFY cost?

AMPLIFY is scoped to the business, from USD 75,000. It is priced on the scope of the friction and the size of the management layer, never per person, and Aiden AI coaching is included.

How long does AMPLIFY take?

After the diagnostic, AMPLIFY runs as a 2-day Catalyst followed by 90 days of implementation on live work, then an embedding phase in which line managers confirm the change.

Is AMPLIFY a leadership training programme?

No. Training assumes the problem is skill. Most of what holds managers back is friction in how decisions and work flow: unclear authority, approval bottlenecks and gaps between teams. AMPLIFY removes that friction on live work, and teaches skill only where it is the real cause.

Do we have to do the Six Week Reset first?

No. Many businesses start with the Reset to prove the return on one cohort. If friction is already clear across functions, AMPLIFY can be scoped directly from the first conversation.

How are results measured?

Baselines are taken during the diagnostic and rerun at the end. Escalations, decision level and hours reclaimed are confirmed by each manager's own line manager, not by self-report.

Will it take managers out of the business?

Only for the 2-day Catalyst. Everything after that happens on the work already on their desks, in short virtual sessions, with Aiden available between them.
