Two Leaders, Same Program, One Key Difference

Two Leaders, Same Program, One Key Difference

Yesterday, I had two conversations that perfectly illustrate the power of choice in leadership transformation.

Let me tell you about Rachel first.

Rachel joined Amplify Leadership Live three months ago as a Regional Manager drowning in firefighting mode. Working 60+ hour weeks, constantly reactive, team frustrated with lack of direction.

But Rachel made a decision from day one: she was going to fully engage with everything we offered.

She completed every pre-work exercise with intention. Showed up to the two-day catalyst ready to implement, not just learn.

More importantly? She used the tools we provided.

Applied the 5-minute pause technique before every major decision.

Implemented the 1% improvement framework daily.

Practiced the delegation strategies, even when it felt uncomfortable.

Attended every monthly coaching session, booked a slot in every coaching hotspot, engaged in the Whatsapp Group. She asked questions and applied feedback.

Last week, Rachel called with news: she’s been promoted to General Manager.

Her words: “Jimmy, I finally feel like a leader instead of just someone who gets things done. My team trusts me, I have strategic headspace, and I’m working 45 hours a week instead of 60.”

Then there’s Marcus.

Marcus joined the cohort before. Same tools. Same support. Same proven frameworks.

But Marcus made a different choice.

He treated Amplify like something to spoon feed him rather than a transformation to commit to.

He rushed through the pre-work (“I get the concept”).

He attended the two-day event but didn’t engage with the implementation exercises.

Downloaded all the resources but never applied them consistently.

Missed most of the coaching calls (“too busy”). Never booked a coaching hotspot. Whatsapp? Crickets!

Yesterday, Marcus told me he’s still struggling with the same challenges he had three months ago. He’s burning out and not performing.

“I thought coming on Amplify would make things better,”he said.

But the reality is Marcus didn’t come on Amplify – he barely showed up. Just the same as he is barely showing up as a leader.

Here’s what I’ve learned after working with thousands of leaders:

The frameworks work. The methodology works. The support works.

But only when you use them.

Rachel and Marcus had access to the exact same proven system.

One chose to engage fully with what we offered.

The other chose to stay on the sidelines.

Same program. Same tools. Same support.

But one leader transformed her career trajectory.

The other collected more knowledge without changing his reality.

So here’s my question for you:

When you invest in your leadership development, are you ready to be like Rachel?

To fully engage with the proven strategies we’ll give you?

To implement the tools rather than just learn about them?

Because if you are, the next Amplify Leadership Live cohort starts in September in NZ. We’re limited to 12 participants and have already reserved 3. This ensures everyone gets the attention they need to succeed.

But if you’re looking for a magic solution that works without your engagement?

This isn’t for you.

The choice is yours. The tools are proven. The support is there.

SECURE YOUR SPOT NOW

Jimmy

P.S. Rachel’s promotion came with a 40% salary increase. That’s what happens when you choose to engage fully with proven leadership strategies, not just collect them.
